Praying for You

Hello Everyone!

Supplies for today's card are all from Papertrey Ink.  I love the stamps with matching dies.  I "kissed" the edges of the stamps with a slightly darker ink to give some dimension.

Make it Monday challenge at papertrey Ink.

Hello everyone.

Nice day first snow day is in it.

I made this card for the paper tray Inc. make it Monday challenge. I started with watercolor paper. Stamped the floral background  with white craft ink and then embossed in white. I painted with reinkers and a water brush. The reinkers were from Stampin up and close to my heart.  This was a fun technique.  Check it out on Nichole's blog at papertrey Ink.

Off to stamp some more. from Martha

Hello people!

I made this cute set of Easter cards with my new set from My Favorite Things.

Each card has slightly different colors and layout.  I colored the images with Copic markers.

That pink frame was an extra piece laying in the scraps. :).

Sometimes I like to cut up the words.

Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink

Hi everyone!

I made some cards to enter in th Make It Monday Challenge over on Nichole's blog at www.papertreyink.com.  Check out this weeks video on using collage on your cards.  I recommend it--this was tons of fun.

I basically followed the same format as shown on Dawn's video, but used different stamps and colors.  I used a set with stitched flowers, the subway art word set and a little flower set to create my background.  Inks are the chartreuse, bright pink, and light blue.  I used a framed out set to make the focal point along with the same little flower set.  Sorry I don't have the exact names of the stamp sets and colors.  I left all the supplies at my friend Grace's house.  I think all supplies for this one wer PTI.

That was so much fun that I made another.  Again, all supplies are PTI, except for the border punch.

Have fun today!  from Martha

Hello everyone!

We are expecting a little snow here tonight.  Perfect night for a little stamping.

I made these two cards with a sale–a–bration set from Stampin up, and a greeting from hero arts.  The rest is pretty basic stamping. I am trying to make a lot of thank you cards for my nephews Jack's graduation.  Since you need so many they won't be complicated.

Here's a couple more. The background papers are actually leftover Halloween papers.

Have a great evening. from Martha

Valentine's

Hi everyone!

Had a few Valentine's leftover.  This one started with a scrap piece of Washi tape I punched some hearts out of.  I taped it to white cardstock and inked with bright pink ink.  Peeled off the tape and voila!  Word stamps are from WPlus9.  Also used mini staples and more Washi tape.

For today's second card I used a dark blue card base smudged with white ink on the edges.  Added some hearts made with my new stamps and dies from Stampin' Up.  I love that twine.

Papertret Ink Color Challenge

Hello everyone!

Made this quick card with a Papertrey Ink die and stamp set.  Have a good evening.  from Martha

Check out today's challenge for interesting color combos.

Hello everyone!

We are having a good old-fashioned blizzard today. No school. Roads are impassable. We have cabin fever. Perfect conditions for stamping.

Today's card was made with stamps and dies from Stampin up .  The sentiment is from W plus 9.

This next beauty was made completely with Stampin up products.  My friend Grace found a similar layout on Pinterest that we lifted.  I really like the way this turned out. I love the cloud paper, the texture plate, the small details on the banners. I used an old Stampin up set to make the greeting. I like it.

Have a great day.  From Martha

PS:  slowly improving with Dragon speak . this will really make my life easier.  I don't know where the capitals went .

Sunday, February 10, 2013

Hello everyone! We are having a blizzard here today.. So it was perfect day to work on the papertrey Ink challenge. Sorry about the weird spacing I am working with my Dragon speak again.

I wanted to make a thank you card for today's challenge and this is what I came up with. My nephew will be graduating this spring and would like some cards that are not quote girly unquote .I think the card passes the quote not girly un quote test . Of course I had to throw in a girly scarf for the photograph. LOL.

For this project I used my new paper tray ink set, I believe it is called pattern squares. The sentiment is also a paper tray ink stamp. I used a pen and a spray art tool to spatter the card with gray ink.  A few blue self-adhesive dots and the card was done. I also used a spatter stamp with pale blue ink to stamp the corners to give it more of a grungy feel.

That's all for today. Hope everyone is doing well either weathering the blizzard or digging out from the blizzard .

Valentines

Hi everyone!

I have a couple of scrappy valentines.  For the first one I used Stampin' Up stamps and dies..  also smeared on white ink.  For the second one I made a template by punching hearts into washi tape.  I stuck this to my card and smeared with pink ink.  Remove the tape and this is what you get.  Stamps are from W Plus Nine.

PTI year of flowers post

I made a card for the Papertrey Ink year of flowers  blog hop.  In typical fashion, I completed my project too late link up to the hop.   Oh well, I will post anyway.

I made this with the Gladiolus from my year in flowers mini set.  The greeting is also a papertret ink stamp.  I ran the background craft peace thru my Cuttlebug with a script embossing folder.  First I applied white ink right to the embossing folder and it turned out kind of grungy and cool.  My image is colored with CCopics.  The little tag is from Maya Road.

I think it turned out pretty.

Hello everyone!

I spent the day stamping today and had a great time.

I made this set with folk art floral stamps and dies from Paper Trey Ink.  I think this looks so cool on the black background. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

This set comes with filler stamps to use to color in each component of the flowers .  I also used dimensional tape to raise up the main floral images.

Hope everyone is having a great evening.  More posts soon.

Hello everyone!

I am posting with my new Dragon speak. It's pretty cool, but I'm not very good at it yet. Please excuse me if there are goofy typos as this will take some getting used to.  Once I get used to this it is going to be awesome, as I tend to have "typing issues" with my one arm.

Card Here is today's Here is today's card Here is today's card Your Here's today's I made today's card with my new stamps from Paper Trey ink. This folk art floral set is really fun. I stamped all the colors in with the filler stamps. It was a little fussy but I had fun doing it and I love the results. The sentiment is also from paper Trey ink. The floral borders are washi tape.

This close-up shows the focal image in more detail. I did raise the larger blossoms up on to dimensional tape.

I will definitely be making good use of this set . you will see more posts with this set in the future .

 have a great evening!
