awesome, etc.

Hello, everyone.  I made some more cards with the Papertrey zipper dies.  These are way fun to do.  I also used my new cardstocks and inks from Papertrey to make these, as well as Papertrey stamps.  Patterned papers are random scrappage......  Inside it says "You're all these things and more."

Here is a closer look at the pull tab.  Notice my little butterflies on the top and bottom borders.

Here is another care with the same zipper die, stamps and color theme.  Inside it says "Your age...Happy Birthday.  For these zipper cards I stamped the inside message in light ink on the back.  I give a lot of my cards to my sister as she and her kids send lots of cards.  That way they can also see what it says on the inside.

Another view of the zipper.

We had a snow day today so the Bubbs and I have been hanging out.  Have a great day. from Martha

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

I made this for the Papertrey Bloghop Challenge. I used my new Papertrey sets and Sliders dies, which just arrived yesterday.  My friend and I stamped with these ALL DAY today.  They are way fun.  The paper is from Echo Park and Basic Grey.

The little "you" is from an old Stampin' Up set.

Used my new butterfly set to decorate the pull tab.  You gotta try these, they are addictive.  You will be seeing lots of posts with these over the next few days.

For this one I used the big birthday words that I just received (yes, yesterday) and the flower is from a Stampin' Up set.  Used the zipper die from Papertrey Ink.

A close up of the zipper.

Have a good evening.  from Martha

Hello people.  The stamps for this card are from Hero Arts.  The little people were made with the leftover scraps from my die by My Favorite Things (see previous posts.....).  The little fireworks swirtly things are from Avocado Arts (the actually are from a Christmas set--the swirly part to a piece of candy.)  Does that even make sense........from Martha

Hello My Friend

This set is from Technique Tuesday.  The little cafe stamp I used on the background is from TAC.  Background paper is from Echo Park.  I also used Spellbinders, Copic Markers, paper flowers, embroidery floss.

On this one I made a funky fluff of ribbon to one side.  I thought this french themed stamp went pretty well with this EP valentine papers.

Made this little card with a stamp set from There She Goes.  Cut out the image with spellbinders and colored with copics.  Background paper is from Echo Park  Ribbon is from Stampin' Up.

Here is a close-up of the heart embellishment from Webster's Pages.

I actually stamped and colored three copies of this image and the cards worked up super quick.

I think the background paper on this one is from Fancy Pants.

Background papers here are from Fancy Pants and Basic Grey.  I white embossed the sentiment.  The heart border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Look Astonished

Here is a card I made with a little banner across the bottom.  I think the paper is from Lillybee.  The triangles on the banner are stickers from the same paper pack.  Lace is from my stash.  Seam binding is hand dyed with Stampin' Up reinker.  I just mixed inker and water spritzed on, let it be kind of blotchy and shabby looking.  This one was with melon mambo reinker.  Flower is from Maya Road.

The zigzag stitch is done with metalic thread from Madeira thread (from the quilting store).  If you go very slowly, it will go ok in the machine (at least it did in my Bernina).  Stamp from Stampin' Up.

Have a great day.  from Martha

Wonderful Little Things

Good evening to all.  I saw the layout for this card on Jinny's blog at www.jinnynewlin.blogspot.com.  Just like her card, I hand cut the little pennants on the banner out of scraps (basic grey, Jillibean).  I zigzag stitched around the notebook patterned paper  The stamp is from Stampin' Up.  The cloud stamp is from Elsie.  The ink is from Palette.  The droplet stickers are from Kaiser.  The button stickers are from Pebbles.  I used Spellbinders to cut out the panels.  Seam binding is from HugSnug.  The little airplane brad is from Amy Tangerine.  This layout was seriously fun to try--you should too.

Valentine

This little valentine was way fun to make.  I started with the negative image from a heart shaped die that I had cut for a different card.  I used my WPlus9 bird set, cut the branch with green and tucked it into the heart image.  Put pretty paper behind for a background (Basic Grey).  Cut the bird then stamped it with red ink.  Small heart and the polka dot background stamp are from Stampin' Up.   Greeting is from the WPlus9 bird set.  I think it turned out really cute!

As promised, today I have two more cards made with this layout.  Sorry, I couldn't control myself.

I've had some of these gnomies from There She Goes stamped up and colored with Copics for awhile.  They were perfect for this layout.  Cut them out with Spellbinders, paper is from Pink Paisley.

This one has a whole different look with papers from My Minds Eye.

Enjoy your weekend.  from Martha
